About "Skills First" recognition of prior learning
"Skills First" recognition of prior learning criteria have been developed in response to the need for more accessible, streamlined, work based skills recognition services, focused on individual customers and industry workforces.

Preferred suppliers of skills recognition
Information for registered training organisations to provide recognition of prior learning services under the 2007-2008 Skilling Solutions Queensland Recognition of Prior Learning.

Credit transfer
Credit transfer is the granting of status or credit by an institution or training organisation to students for modules (subjects) or units of competency completed at the same, or through another institution or training organisation.

National recognition
Previously referred to as mutual recognition, national recognition is a feature of the Australian Quality Training Framework that allows qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any registered training organisation to be accepted and recognised by all other registered training organisations.

Become involved in flexible skills gap training
On successfully completing a recognition of prior learning process, an individual customer will need to undertake one or a number of competencies to complete the qualification they require. Registered training organisations have the opportunity to enrol these customers into training to fill the gap in the qualification they require.
